The Children’s Bienal is a space within the X Bienal for the development of understanding about Architecture among children.“¿What is Architecture?” is responsible for organising the first edition of the Children’s Bienal.
The first space is a workshop for kids from 5-12 years, where a short animation film was made, inspired by the winning design of the X Bienal: Teatro del Canal by Juan Navarro Baldeweg. With the collabotation of David Ibernia.
The second space was in the X Bienal in the Caja Cantabria de Santillana del Mar exhibition hall. We created a chill-out for children and adult. Here, fifteen videos in which architects reply to the question “¿What is Architecture?” were presented together with the short film created in the workshop.

“¿What is Architecture?” was our début in Europe with a space at Beyond Media where the first fifteen videos were shown.
We also ran a workshop for children with the Instituto degli Innocenti. The pupils worked on "brunelleschian" perspective and built a miniature theatre. This led to making a special short film which we showed in the Beyond Media Space.
We will be counting on the special participation of Bet Cantallops and Oleg Ogurtsov.
